About Me
- Name: Sandra Seyfarth-Lechner
- Location: Lake Geneva, Southeastern Wisconsin, United States
Geographically I was born in Blue Island, Illinois south of Chicago. That was 1960. My zip codes have changed from the corn and soy fields of Northern Illinois, to the Southern beaches and rocky Northern coast of California. It was in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The "Buckle of the Bible Belt" due to my husband's job transfer to Greenville, South Carolina that I gathered up the nerve to "pick up the brush and see what happens". Growing as a spiritual being is the reason for my art. The paint on the canvas is a by-product of spiritual and emotional exploration. The bristles of my paintbrush are the vocal cords giving visual sound to an otherwise perhaps mute inner voice now able to be heard as the paint glides and dances over the bristles. I hope you enjoy the sounds and movement the bristles give voice and life to. Today, our zip code is in Lyons Township, near Lake Geneva, on edge of the Kettle Morraine Forest and prairies of Southeastern Wisconsin known as The Knobs. We share this land with families of sandhill cranes, geese, grey heron, white tail deer, coyotes, red fox, skunk, dairy cows and 2 basset hounds named Ellie Mae and Thelma Lou.
